Enablement is the organisation-level step that allows members to add the Pleo MCP in their AI platform. Whether you need it depends on your plan: individual plans (such as Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus) usually need no admin action, while managed workspaces and tenants often restrict custom connectors until an admin allows them.

Allow Network Access for Receipts

The agent reaches two Pleo domains directly when it works with receipt files:
  • Uploading a receipt: Pleo issues a short-lived upload URL on mcp.pleo.io and the agent uploads the file to it with an HTTP PUT from a command it runs.
  • Reading a PDF receipt: Pleo returns a short-lived link on receipts.cdn.pleo.io and the agent downloads the file from it with an HTTP GET. Image receipts (JPEG, PNG, GIF) come back inside the tool result, so they don’t need this domain.
Some AI clients restrict the network access of the agent’s commands. Then the upload is blocked, and the agent can’t read PDF receipts. The client’s connection to the Pleo MCP itself isn’t affected. Check whether your client restricts it, and allow both domains where it does: For any other client that sandboxes commands or routes them through a proxy, allow both domains in that client’s network settings, or at your firewall or proxy if the control lives there. These are the only domains the agent needs: Each receipt also has a link that you can open in your own browser. The agent’s network restrictions don’t apply there, so that needs no change.
